JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested on shoplifting charges after allegedly stealing merchandise from a CVS pharmacy Sunday night.
Officers from the Third Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department responded to CVS at the square at 11:24 p.m. for a report of a shoplifting in progress.
Police determined that Amanda D. Ferguson, 42, of Jamestown, had stolen merchandise belonging to the store.
Officers located Ferguson a short distance away from the store and were able to retrieve the items.
One of the items stolen had been damaged and was unable to be resold.
Ferguson was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
She is being charged with petit larceny and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
Ferguson is being held pending arraignment.
