LATHAM, NY — State Police arrested an 87-year-old man on Jan. 27, 2026, for possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
Roland E. Eberhard, of Voorheesville, was taken into custody by State Police with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
Eberhard is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Eberhard was processed at State Police barracks in Latham.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to New Scotland Town Court on Feb. 5, 2026, and released.
