EAST PITTSBURGH, PA — A man previously convicted of animal cruelty was arrested Thursday after deputies found him hiding in an attic crawlspace.
Kachyphe McCullough-Williams, 25, of East Pittsburgh and Turtle Creek, was taken into custody at a residence on Franklin Street.
McCullough-Williams pleaded guilty in 2022 to 11 counts of animal cruelty, including one count of aggravated animal cruelty, and was sentenced to more than 20 years of probation.
A bench warrant was issued six weeks ago for probation violations.
Two additional probation violation warrants were also issued in separate cases involving guilty pleas to charges including strangulation and aggravated assault.
Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office detectives developed information this week that McCullough-Williams was inside the Franklin Street residence.
Detectives arrived at the home Thursday morning and were permitted inside by a woman who answered the door.
After conducting a sweep of the residence, detectives found McCullough-Williams hiding in the attic crawlspace.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
