ROTTERDAM, NY — A propane delivery truck crashed into a home on Peter Road on Thursday morning after the driver apparently suffered a medical emergency.

The Rotterdam Police Department responded to 767 Peter Road at approximately 7:42 a.m. for a report of a propane truck into a residence.

Officers arrived to find a Ferrellgas truck carrying a large quantity of propane tanks had struck the home.

The driver was out of the vehicle when officers arrived and appeared to have had a medical event that caused the accident.

The driver was transported to Ellis Hospital.

No one was in the residence at the time of the accident.
