Broome County Sheriff’s Office reports 8 arrests

BROOME COUNTY, NY — The Broome County Sheriff’s Office reported eight arrests in its weekly update released Tuesday.

Tashawn C. Folks, 21, of Johnson City, was charged with criminal trespass, a violation, following a trespassing investigation in the Town of Chenango.

Christopher A. Lane, 24, of Endicott, was charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into suspicious activity in the Town of Union.

Joseph M. Lane, 40, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Dickinson.

Mathew P. O’Neill, 40, of Windsor, was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Colesville.

Kenny W. Ruiz, 33, of Binghamton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a narcotics investigation during a warrant execution in the City of Binghamton.

Evan J. Thorson, 51, of Endicott, was charged with rape in the third degree, a class E felony, criminal sexual act in the third degree, a class E felony, child endangerment, a class A misdemeanor, and official misconduct, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into inappropriate activity involving multiple juveniles in the Town of Dickinson.

Jerry M. Wayman, 43, of the Town of Chenango, was charged with obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

Walter S. Yates III, 28, of Maine, was charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation, following an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Union.
