NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two men have been arrested in connection with a September theft at a business on Universal Drive.
North Haven patrol officers responded to the area on Sept. 26 for a reported larceny.
Officers learned two male suspects entered a business, filled two garbage bags with assorted merchandise valued at approximately $1,954, and exited the store through a rear emergency door.
Store personnel provided information regarding the suspect vehicle and advised that the individuals were believed to be involved in similar thefts at partner locations throughout the state.
Following an investigation and collaboration with multiple municipal law enforcement agencies, officers identified both suspects as Tyler Ransom, 26, of East Hartford, and Andres Meletrich, 36, of New Britain.
Investigating officers obtained arrest warrants for both Ransom and Meletrich, which were reviewed and approved by the court.
On Nov. 13, Ransom was taken into custody and charged with larceny in the fourth degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fourth degree.
On Jan. 7, 2026, Meletrich was taken into custody and charged with larceny in the fourth degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fourth degree.
