GREECE, NY — Police are investigating multiple vehicle break-ins reported Sunday.
An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and stole items while the car’s owner was shopping inside Aldi on Ridge Road.
The victim reported that he returned to find his vehicle’s cabin ransacked, a blank check from his checkbook and a blue Ryobi tool bag and all of its contents stolen.
The suspect has not yet been identified.
In a separate incident, two employees of The Ridge reported an unknown suspect damaged their vehicles.
Camera footage showed a black Jeep pulling into the parking lot, the suspect exiting the Jeep and approaching the two vehicles, which were parked next to one another.
Each vehicle had windows cracked or smashed, and one of the victims had a makeup bag stolen from within her car.
A chisel was found lying on the pavement between the cars; it’s believed this is what the suspect used to break the windows.
