BINGHAMTON, NY — New York State Police arrested a man on felony charges early Sunday morning following a traffic stop.
Jeremy Joseph Krebbeks, 48, of Binghamton, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction within 10 years, a class E felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony.
Troopers observed a vehicle with a violation and initiated a traffic stop on Park Avenue and Maria Manor at approximately 2:08 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2026.
While interviewing Krebbeks, a trooper smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed other characteristics associated with impairment.
Krebbeks was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which confirmed impairment.
Krebbeks was additionally found in possession of a controlled substance.
He was transported to State Police barracks in Binghamton, where his reportable blood alcohol content was .19 percent.
Krebbeks was processed and transported to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.
