Man arrested on weapons, drug-impaired driving charges in Greece

GREECE, NY — A 34-year-old man was arrested on weapons and drug-impaired driving charges following a traffic stop on Dobson Road.

Patrol officers stopped a vehicle at approximately 8:52 p.m. on Dec. 31.

During the investigation, officers arrested the driver, Jamal Powell, of New York, for driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Officers located a loaded Glock-style ghost gun during the arrest.

The firearm contained a high-capacity magazine loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition.

Powell was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

He was turned over to the county jail for arraignment in CAP Court.
