Fugitive arrested in Malta

MALTA, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop Thursday at 1:06 p.m. on Old Post Road.

The stop led to the arrest of a person for being a fugitive from justice from Vermont.

Clyde N. Bowles, 34, of Waterford was arrested.

Bowles is accused of being a fugitive from justice from the state of Vermont where he is wanted for several drug-related charges and a probation violation.

He was arraigned before the Honorable Edmond A. Slocum Jr. in the Malta Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
