GREECE, NY — Three Rochester residents were arrested Saturday afternoon after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle at a shopping mall.
Officers were alerted at 3:39 p.m. by the License Plate Reader System to a stolen 2022 Kia Sorento traveling on West Ridge Road.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply and fled into the Greece Ridge Mall parking lot.
Three occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot before being taken into custody.
Wade Kalifah, 26, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property 3rd degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle 3rd degree, obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree, resisting arrest, unlawful fleeing and reckless driving.
Kriston Loving-Gause, 34, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property 3rd degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle 3rd degree, assault 2nd degree, obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree and resisting arrest.
An officer sustained an injury during a struggle with Loving-Gause.
Mariah Williams, 29, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property 3rd degree and unauthorized use of a vehicle 3rd degree.
All three suspects were transported to the Greece Ridge substation for processing and then turned over to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
