PLYMTON, MA — A state trooper was arrested Nov. 25 following a multi-agency investigation into alleged child abuse.
Michael Gagnon of Plympton was taken into custody at his residence just before 6 p.m. by Plympton Police with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Children and Families and the Plympton Police Department.
Gagnon was charged with domestic assault and battery and aggravated assault on a child under 14 years of age.
He was booked and held at the Plympton Police Department.
Gagnon’s bail was set at $1,000, which he posted upon his release at approximately 12 a.m. Nov. 26.
