Eight people arrested on various charges in Broome County

BINGHAMTON, NY — The Broome County Sheriff’s Office announced eight arrests on various charges in its weekly report released Oct. 22.

Dennis D. Davis, 57, of Binghamton, was charged with two counts of petit larceny and two counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the 5th degree, class A misdemeanors, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Chenango and the City of Binghamton.

Damien B. Galloway, 43, of Binghamton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, a class D felony, following a traffic stop in the Village of Johnson City.

Charles C. Murray, 18, of Harpursville, was charged with aggravated harassment in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a harassment investigation in the Town of Colesville.

Thanh V. Nguyen, 51, of Binghamton, was charged with conspiracy in the 5th degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree, class A misdemeanors, following an investigation into promoting contraband at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Scott T. Salmini, 38, was charged with criminal trespass in the 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor, following a trespassing investigation in the City of Binghamton.

Diamond J. Santana, 31, of Endicott, was charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree, a class D felony, conspiracy in the 5th degree, a class A misdemeanor, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and obstruction of governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into promoting contraband at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Robert J. Spoonhower, 39, was charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree, a class D felony, following an investigation into promoting contraband at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Clarence A. Thompson, 33, was charged with aggravated harassment in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into threatening messages in the Town of Conklin.
