SARATOGA COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Office received a sex abuse complaint on Aug. 14 that reportedly occurred in the town of Wilton in May.
Investigation into the matter led to the arrest Friday of Devin J. Brown, 26, of Stillwater, N.Y., for disseminating indecent material to minors in the 1st degree, a class D felony.
Brown also faces charges of rape in the 3rd degree, a class E felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
Brown is accused of intentionally engaging in communication with a minor via messaging application that he knew depicted sexual conduct and which was harmful to minors.
He is also charged with engaging in vaginal sexual contact with another person less than 17 years old while he was 21 years old or more.
Brown was arraigned before the Honorable David R. Towne in the Wilton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
