MIDDLETOWN — A 51-year-old Stamford man died Saturday morning after his vehicle drove into the Connecticut River off Harbor Drive.
Middletown Police and Fire Departments responded to the incident just before 7:30 a.m. Oct. 11.
The Middletown Fire Department Dive Team, with assistance from the Middletown Police Department Dive Team, recovered the body of Gautam Ramesh Mirchandani from the submerged vehicle.
Mirchandani’s vehicle was also recovered from the river.
The Middletown Police Department Major Investigations Unit is investigating the incident.
