COLEBROOK — A Williamstown woman was arrested on drug and driving charges after police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Big Apple on Oct. 5.
Molly Tyree, 40, was charged with operating after suspension (DUI related), possession of controlled drug, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle and unregistered vehicle.
A Colebrook Police officer responded to the Big Apple at 9:22 p.m. for the report of suspicious activity.
Upon arrival, the officer made contact with two females, including Tyree.
Police discovered Tyree’s operating privileges were suspended for DUI.
While speaking with her, the officer observed a pill crusher with residue, small plastic baggies and a straw inside her purse.
A subsequent search of the purse led to the discovery of multiple cut straws with a powdery residue inside which is consistent with the controlled drug fentanyl.
Tyree was arrested and transported to the Colebrook Police Department.
She was held on preventative detention due to multiple failure to appears on other cases.
She was subsequently transported to the Grafton County jail to await arraignment.
