NEWPORT— The Meeting Place, operated by Northeast Kingdom Home Care, has provided adult day services in Newport for over 20 years after identifying a community need for adults to interact and make connections with others.
Located on Second Street, the facility received recognition from Senator Patrick Leahy soon after opening when he presented staff with a U.S. flag that had flown over the Capitol Building, specifically requested by the senator to honor the facility’s opening.
The Meeting Place provides personalized care in a homelike day center environment.
Attendees participate in socializing opportunities, stimulating activities including arts and crafts, group games, music and exercise, and receive nutritious meals. The center also offers field trips and outings.
