WESTMORE — Registration is open for the first Lake Willoughby Summer Swim Program, a weeklong series of lessons at North Beach set for July 13-17.
The program is a joint effort by the town of Westmore, the Westmore Association and Teach America To Swim.
It offers a preschool aquatics session for children ages 2-4 and swim lessons for ages 5 and up, with instruction aligned with American Red Cross standards.
Classes take place in the afternoon and use skill-based group placement to build confidence and teach water safety in a lake setting.
Reduced rates are available for Westmore property owners, their families and Westmore Association members at $30 per swimmer.
Organizers said space is expected to fill quickly in the program’s inaugural year. Registration is available at teachamericatoswim.com/lakewilloughbyvt.
