CATSKILL — The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation announces the arrest of Kenneth W. Vlasaty, age 25, of Purling, following an ongoing investigation into allegations of unlawful sexual conduct involving a minor.

As a result of the investigation, which began in August, Vlasaty was charged with disseminating indecent material to a minor in the first degree, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child less than 17 years old, a class A misdemeanor.

The investigation was initiated after Vlasaty was previously arrested in August for engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with a 16-year-old victim on multiple occasions.

The most recent charges stem from additional evidence indicating the dissemination of illicit images to the victim.

Vlasaty was arraigned in the Town of Cairo Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Cairo Court on Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.
