GREECE — Greece Police officers arrested three juveniles Wednesday after a License Plate Reader system alerted them to a stolen vehicle traveling westbound on West Ridge Road.
The vehicle, a grey 2020 Kia Sportage, was reported stolen out of Gates and was tracked to the Greece Ridge Mall parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods, where officers found it unoccupied.
Mall security provided descriptions of three juvenile suspects seen leaving the vehicle.
Officers located the juveniles nearby, taking one into custody immediately while the other two fled on foot.
The two fleeing suspects were apprehended shortly after.
All three juveniles, ages 15 and from Rochester, were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the Third Degree.
Two of the juveniles also face charges of False Personation.
Following consultation with the on-call Monroe County Assistant District Attorney and Probation, the suspects were transported to CAP Court.
