3 men arrested in Binghamton area on charges of attempting to entice minors online

BINGHAMTON — Three men were arrested on charges of attempted rape in the second degree following separate investigations into individuals allegedly using social media to entice minors to engage in sexual acts.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation worked jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on the investigations.

Ronald E. Wenzinger, 70, of Binghamton, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with attempted rape in the second degree, a Class E felony.

Wenzinger, a reverend at the United Methodist Church in Harpursville, was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Investigators have no indication that Wenzinger committed additional crimes against children.

John J. Tremark, 39, of Binghamton, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with attempted rape in the second degree, a Class E felony.

He was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Juan A. Bolanoszul, 38, of Endicott, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with attempted rape in the second degree, a Class E felony.

He was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.
