Greece police make arrests, recover stolen vehicle after license plate reader alert

GREECE — Greece police arrested two Rochester residents and recovered a stolen vehicle after a license plate reader (LPR) alert at Greece Ridge Mall on Friday, Aug. 29.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., officers were notified by the LPR system of a black 2025 Volkswagen Jetta reported stolen out of Webster.

Officers located the vehicle on mall property and apprehended two suspects without incident.

Dayshaun D. Wilson, 18, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and criminal trespass in the third degree.

A 17-year-old male from Rochester was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Wilson was transported to the county jail for arraignment in CAP Court.

The 17-year-old was released with a juvenile appearance ticket.
