WILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 36-year-old Whitehall man Monday afternoon following a larceny complaint at Walmart.
Matthew D. Zarro was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after deputies responded to the store at 2:42 p.m.
Sheriff’s officials said Zarro knowingly entered and remained unlawfully within the building with intent to commit a crime.
He is also accused of stealing merchandise from the store.
Zarro had previously been formally advised by the company that he was not allowed on the premises, according to authorities.
He was released on an appearance ticket at the direction of Wilton Town Court Judge David R. Towne pending further proceedings.
