Schenectady man arrested on burglary charge at Wilton Walmart

WILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 63-year-old Schenectady man on burglary and larceny charges following an incident at a local Walmart on Friday.

Deputies responded to an active larceny call at 8:18 a.m. at the Walmart in Wilton.

Ross G. Corbett was charged with burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Corbett is accused of knowingly entering and remaining in a building with intent to commit a crime and stealing merchandise.

He had allegedly been previously advised by the business that he was not authorized to be on the premises.

Corbett was released on appearance tickets at the direction of Wilton Town Court Judge David R. Towne pending further proceedings.
