Bolton pedestrian struck by vehicle on Wattaquadock Hill Road

BOLTON — Bolton Police Officers and Bolton Fire-EMS responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Wattaquadock Hill Road and Main Street on Thursday, July 17 at approximately 6:27 p.m.

Responding units found the pedestrian in the roadway on Wattaquadock Hill Road near the intersection.

Main Street and Wattaquadock Hill Road traffic was temporarily diverted to allow responders to provide emergency medical care and conduct an investigation.

Officers from the Lancaster Police Department responded as mutual aid to assist with Main Street traffic.

The pedestrian was conscious and able to speak with first responders after the collision.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

The vehicle operator was interviewed and later released at the scene.

Wattaquadock Hill Road between Main Street and Manor Road remained closed until approximately 7:40 p.m., then reopened to all traffic.

Neither the pedestrian nor vehicle operator were believed to be involved with a political demonstration event being held at the time across the street at the Bolton Town Common.

Police are asking any witnesses who have not already spoken with an officer on scene and may have information, particularly photos or video of the collision, to contact the Bolton Police Department.

The collision remains under investigation by the Bolton Police Department.
