CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge Police responded to a report of a gunshot on Brookline Street between Massachusetts Avenue and Green Street in Central Square on Friday, July 4 at approximately 11:15 p.m.
On-scene officers located ballistic evidence to confirm that a shooting had taken place.
At this time there are no known victims from this incident.
Detectives from the Cambridge Police Criminal Investigation Section are on-scene and investigating.
There is not believed to be any ongoing public safety risk to the public at this time.
