ONEIDA — Two people were charged after New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Oneida County on June 24.
Police checked several stores for compliance with laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21.
The following businesses were found to be in compliance: Circle K at 1510 Main St, Sylvan Beach; Dollar General at 1600 Main St, Sylvan Beach; Byrne Dairy at 16 Main St, Camden; Fastrac at 24 Main St, Camden; Dollar General at 35 Main St, Camden; and New England Style Market at 4644 Rome Taberg Rd, Taberg.
Sylvan Spirits at 1714 Main St, Sylvan Beach and Cliff’s at 4094 State Route 69, Taberg were found not in compliance.
Diana M. Hansberger, 73, of Blossvale, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and the prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old at Sylvan Spirits.
Daniel H. Wossner Jr, 31, of Lee, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and the prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old at Cliff’s.
