Binghamton crash sends three to hospital after Route 11 collision

BINGHAMTON — On June 24 at approximately 4:20 p.m., New York State Police at Binghamton responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 11 near the Conklin-Kirkwood Bridge in the town of Kirkwood.

An investigation determined that Denise M. Ellis of Binghamton was driving a Hyundai on State Route 11 and attempting a left turn when she failed to yield the right of way to a Ford traveling north on State Route 11.

The Ford rolled as a result of the collision.

Ellis was transported to Wilson Medical Center.

A 44-year-old male passenger from Conklin did not report any injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, Nora Mary Gibson, 73, of Catawissa, and a 74-year-old male passenger of Catawissa were both transported to Wilson Medical Center.

Ellis was ticketed.

All three injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
