WILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active domestic incident call Monday at 8:33 p.m. on Ingersoll Road.
Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of William J. Barber, 63, of Wilton, for criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, a class D felony, and menacing in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Barber is accused of possessing a machete having previously been convicted of a crime.
He is also charged with intentionally placing another person in reasonable fear of physical injury, serious physical injury or death by displaying the machete.
He was arraigned before the Honorable David R. Towne in the Wilton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
