WILTON — State Police arrested a Greenfield man June 13 on charges of promoting and possessing child sexual exploitation images.
Anthony J. Badali, 32, faces charges of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
He also faces two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
The arrest followed an investigation that began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
State Police executed a search warrant at Badali’s Greenfield residence June 13 with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
During the search, investigators seized two illegally possessed firearms and an illegally possessed high-capacity magazine.
Badali was transported to State Police Wilton where he was processed and arrested.
He was arraigned at Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond or a $50,000 partially secured bond.
