New Berlin man arrested after fleeing police in Columbus

COLUMBUS — A New Berlin man was arrested June 8 after allegedly fleeing from deputies during a traffic stop.

Charles O. Hall, 36, was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree.

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle Hall was operating in the Town of Columbus for New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Hall failed to comply and led deputies on a pursuit into Otsego County, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.

After an investigation, Hall turned himself in to deputies.

Hall was arrested and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Columbus Court at a later date.
