Drug task force arrests 2 in Jamestown raid, seizes over 100 grams of fentanyl

JAMESTOWN — Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at 508 W. 6th Street lower apartment Friday at about 6:15 a.m. with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team.

Jermeek D. Johnson and Danielle R. Barber were located inside the residence where they were detained by the SWAT Team.

After the residence was secured, detectives searched it and located 101.1 grams of fentanyl, 2.9 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of Alprazolam pills, digital scales, $1,633 in U.S. currency and cutting agents consistent with the sale of illegal drugs.

Johnson also attempted to conceal the methamphetamine and a quantity of the fentanyl on his person to avoid detection.

Johnson is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree and tampering with physical evidence.

Johnson also had a Chautauqua County Court warrant from possessing a large quantity of fentanyl and loaded handgun from a search warrant executed at his residence in March 2024.

Barber had an outstanding bench warrant through Jamestown City Court.

Both Johnson and Barber were transported to the Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service.
