SAUGERTIES — Saugerties police arrested a 14-year-old male after responding to a 911 call about a dispute on High Street at approximately 5:20 p.m. May 27.
During the initial investigation, the juvenile led an officer on a short foot chase before being apprehended.
Police said the teen was charged with the misdemeanor of resisting arrest following the chase.
During a second incident at the scene, the juvenile allegedly struck another person and attempted to grab an electronic control device from an officer.
Authorities charged the boy with the felonies of menacing a police officer and grand larceny in the fourth degree.
He was also charged with the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, menacing in the third degree, and a second count of resisting arrest.
The juvenile was processed at the Saugerties Police Department.
He was released on an appearance ticket into the custody of a third party.
