CATSKILL — The New York State Police have announced the arrest of Alvin Myers, 57, of Round Top, following an investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.
On May 26, members of the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Catskill received a report alleging that Myers engaged in sexual contact with a child less than 13 years old.
Following the investigation, Myers was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony; forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor; second-degree menacing, a class A misdemeanor; and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, a class A misdemeanor.
Myers was arraigned at Catskill Town Court and released on bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
