Earlton search for missing hiker ends after man found safe

EARLTON — The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reported that 21-year-old Forest Golub, who was missing in the area of Honey Hollow Road in Earlton, was found in good health on Sunday.

Golub was last seen around noon, prompting deputies and search crews to begin looking for him in the area.

Authorities described Golub as 5-foot-7, weighing 125 pounds, wearing dark jeans, and a dark shirt or possibly no shirt, and barefoot at the time he went missing.

According to an update from the sheriff’s office, Golub has been located and is unharmed.
