GREECE — Two Rochester women were arrested after allegedly assaulting and robbing a woman in a McDonald’s restroom on West Ridge Road, according to Greece Police.
Officers responded to the McDonald’s at 3781 West Ridge Road at approximately 9:54 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, where they found a 24-year-old Rochester woman had been assaulted.
Police said the victim was attacked by two female suspects inside the women’s restroom, where they repeatedly punched her and stole her personal belongings.
A third individual reportedly filmed the assault, according to authorities.
The suspects, identified as Franscheska Avilas, 25, and Aniyha L. Gonzalez, 18, both of Rochester, fled the scene in a black Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen to the Rochester Police Department.
On Thursday, May 22, Greece officers located the stolen vehicle parked with both female suspects inside and detained them without incident.
A male observed with the women was identified and interviewed but was determined to be uninvolved in the incident.
Avilas faces charges of second-degree robbery, aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree grand larceny for the robbery incident.
Gonzalez was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Both women face additional charges of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle related to the stolen car.
The victim sustained facial injuries and was transported to Unity Hospital for medical evaluation.
