NIAGARA — A 37-year-old Tonawanda woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly fleeing police in a pursuit that spanned multiple jurisdictions and ended at the Seneca Niagara Casino.

Town of Niagara Police responded to the Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union at approximately 2:38 p.m. following reports of suspicious activity related to bank fraud.

The suspect, identified as Maurisha Dixon, fled the bank as officers approached.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Dixon’s vehicle, but she refused to pull over, initiating a police pursuit.

Multiple agencies assisted in the pursuit, including New York State Police, Lewiston Police, State Parks Police, and Niagara Falls Police.

Authorities eventually forced Dixon to stop in the parking lot of the Seneca Niagara Casino, where she was taken into custody without further incident.

Dixon faces multiple charges including Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Reckless Driving, and numerous other vehicle and traffic violations across the Town of Niagara, Lewiston, and City of Niagara Falls jurisdictions.

Following her arrest, Dixon was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department for arraignment.
