HIGHGATE — A Highgate man was arrested Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 78, facing charges including his third DUI offense and providing false information to police.
Adam Lafromboise, 41, was taken into custody at approximately 4:58 p.m. after Vermont State Police troopers responded to a crash near Hanna Road.
Troopers observed multiple signs of impairment while speaking with Lafromboise at the scene, according to police.
During the investigation, authorities discovered Lafromboise had provided false information and was wanted on an active arrest warrant for cocaine possession.
Lafromboise was transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing before being taken to Northwest State Correctional Facility, where he was held on $200 bail for the warrant.
He was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on May 22 at 1 p.m. for the warrant-related charge.
Lafromboise faces additional charges of DUI #3 and False Information to a Police Officer, for which he was ordered to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on June 16 at 8:30 a.m.
