SAUGERTIES — The Saugerties Police Department arrested Barbara A. Charles, 82, of Saugerties, New York, following a complaint about counterfeit currency on April 29 at approximately 5 p.m.
Charles was charged with one misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 3rd Degree as a result of the investigation.
After being processed at the Saugerties Police Department, Charles was released on an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court at a later date.
The arrest took place on Route 212 in Saugerties.
