SAUGERTIES — New York State Police troopers responded to a report of a body found in Plattekill Creek near Park Circle in Saugerties at approximately 12:14 p.m. on May 11.
Preliminary investigation revealed that nearby residents spotted the body in the creek and immediately contacted first responders.
The Mount Marion Fire Department retrieved the body from the water.
The deceased was identified as Stanley Christopher Waldron, 58, of Saugerties, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported no signs of foul play were evident.
The New York State Police were assisted by the Mount Marion Fire Department and Diaz Memorial Ambulance Services.
