UNION — A 35-year-old Union man faces multiple felony charges after police discovered cocaine and illegal firearms while executing a search warrant at his apartment.
Gary W. Lanzo was arrested on May 9 after members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force searched his residence at 2 Donald St., Apartment 2.
During the search, investigators seized approximately 3.4 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials and cutting agents.
Officers also recovered two firearms: a Ruger .45 caliber revolver and a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun.
Lanzo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony.
Additional charges include two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, both class D felonies, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, class A misdemeanors.
Following arraignment, Lanzo was remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility, where he remains in custody.
