GREECE — A jury on Thursday convicted Eliezar Ortiz Jr. on multiple felony charges related to a violent shooting incident, according to the Greece Police Department.
Ortiz was found guilty of three counts of attempted murder in the second degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
The conviction stems from a shooting investigation conducted by the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Police officials credited the work of initial responding officers and investigators for securing the May 1 conviction.
The case involved what authorities described as a complex, long-term investigation that ultimately brought justice to the victims.
