PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested three individuals in separate incidents in Providence overnight, according to a statement from the Lincoln Woods Barracks.
At 7:42 p.m., troopers arrested Gary Allen III, 29, of North Providence, following a reported accident on Route 95 in Providence.
Allen was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs with blood alcohol content unknown, a first offense.
After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Allen was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released to a responsible adult.
In a separate incident at 2 a.m., troopers arrested Christopher O’Neal, 20, of Norwood, Massachusetts, during a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street.
O’Neal was charged with possession of a Schedule I to V substance exceeding 10 grams.
He was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date in the 6th District Court.
During the same traffic stop on Charles Street, troopers also arrested Kristine Duarte, 37, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts.
Duarte was wanted on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for second-offense shoplifting from the Cranston Police Department, an arrest warrant for larceny from the Greenwich Police Department in Connecticut, and for obstructing an officer in execution of duty.
She was held overnight at the Lincoln Woods Barracks pending morning arraignment.
