NORTHUMBERLAND — The Northumberland Police Department arrested two men Saturday afternoon following an incident involving criminal threatening with a deadly weapon on Goulet Street.
Police said the incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m., when officers were notified of a report involving firearms.
According to authorities, Xavier Oakes, 18, and Kaiden George, 19, were both alleged to have participated in the incident.
Police obtained arrest warrants for both individuals.
Oakes and George were taken into custody during a motor vehicle stop in Northumberland, with assistance from the Lancaster Police Department.
Both suspects were processed at the Northumberland Police Department.
Oakes and George were each charged with three class B felony counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, under RSA 631:4.
The suspects were held in preventative detention and transported to the Coos County House of Corrections pending a bail hearing.
Oakes and George are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
