ENOSBURG FALLS — A local man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stealing from a hardware store and violating court-ordered conditions of release.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to a call about a retail theft at Green’s Ace Hardware on Railroad Street at approximately 1 p.m.
Mark Clapper, 27, of Enosburg, was located at a McDonald’s restaurant in Enosburg Falls, according to police.
When officers found Clapper, he was in close proximity to an individual he was court-ordered to avoid contact with, authorities said.
Clapper was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
He was later lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility on $200 bail.
Clapper is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 10 at 1 p.m.
