Missing woman with dementia found after walking away from Royalton home

ROYALTON — An 85-year-old woman with dementia who went missing Thursday afternoon has been located, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Beverly Earle had left her residence on Akron Road in the Town of Royalton and was last seen walking southbound on Akron Road at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The sheriff’s office issued an alert Thursday seeking the public’s assistance in locating Earle, who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 104 pounds.

Authorities described Earle as having gray hair and brown eyes, and said she was last seen wearing a purple sweatshirt, jeans and gray sneakers.

Officials confirmed late Thursday that Earle had been found, though no details were provided about where she was located or her condition.
