Richford man arrested after shooting from car on Main Street

RICHFORD — A 23-year-old Richford man faces multiple charges after allegedly firing a rifle while driving down Main Street on Thursday afternoon.

Vermont State Police responded to reports of a Chevrolet Cobalt whose driver was shooting rounds from a rifle while traveling through town at approximately 3:30 p.m. on March 6.

Troopers located the disabled vehicle near the intersection of VT 105 and VT 118 in Berkshire.

Following an investigation, police identified the driver as Isiah Vallender, 23, of Richford.

Vallender was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, and shooting from a motor vehicle.

He is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on Monday, March 10, at 1 p.m.
