Jamestown police raid uncovers drugs and arrests three suspects

JAMESTOWN — Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and the City of Dunkirk Police Department concluded a several-month-long narcotics investigation with a search warrant execution at 614 E. 6th St. lower apartment.

Jamestown Police SWAT team made entry into the residence during the operation.

Inside the residence, authorities found 44-year-old Ronnie Walker, 36-year-old Demarco Lathan, and 37-year-old Lucas Smyczek at the time of the search.

Investigators seized 20.3 grams of crack cocaine, 4.7 grams of fentanyl, scales for narcotics distribution, and $545 in U.S. currency.

Walker was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, criminally using drug paraphernalia 2nd, and tampering with physical evidence.

Lathan and Smyczek each face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd and criminally using drug paraphernalia 2nd.

All three suspects were transported to Jamestown City Court for arraignment.

Authorities continue to urge community members to report suspicious or narcotics-related activity.
