NEWPORT — Rick Ufford-Chase, the only candidate on Newport’s mayoral ballot, will hold a public forum Sunday to meet with voters and answer questions ahead of the March 4 election.
The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at Goodrich Memorial Library, with Newport Dispatch serving as host and Ken Wells as moderator.
Ufford-Chase says he wants to hear from you, answer your questions, and learn what matters most to the community.
“Though I am running unopposed for Mayor, I would love to talk about the things that we’ll all need to work on together to help Newport move forward,” Ufford-Chase said.
The forum will include one-on-one conversations with community members and a question-and-answer session.

Residents can submit questions online through Newport Dispatch’s Facebook page for those unable to attend.
The event will also be livestreamed on Newport Dispatch’s Facebook page for remote viewing.
