DERBY — The Vermont State Police arrested a Derby man on a first-degree aggravated domestic assault charge following an incident on US Route 5.
Troopers from the Derby Barracks received a report of a domestic assault at approximately 11:05 a.m. on Feb. 19.
An investigation determined that Burton Jacobs Jr., 57, had assaulted a household member.
Jacobs was arrested Feb. 25 and taken to the Derby Barracks for processing.
Authorities later determined he had violated his probation, and he was transported to Northern State Correctional Facility.
